Resonances is a video installation such as an investigation of the way nature resonates with the way of observing and drawing, leading to a discovery of simplicity in everyday life. A hidden reality will emerge consisting of simple moments usually taken for granted because of being trapped by the chaotic stimulation of the modern world. This video focuses its attention to a way of seeing the world with less as more, slow as fast, silence as noise and emptiness as fullness through a poetic and ephemeral engagement with the surroundings. It was filmed during a week of intensive rain after the eucalyptus dropped a soapy liquid into the small creek filling up the bush path. The orchestra of the ephemeral bubbles bursting, swirling and dancing with each other is what makes these videos so compelling. |
