Mandala I and Mandala II are two videos made during the international art residency at Largo das Artes, Rio de janeiro, Brazil at summer time. They are a series of works made from the observation of a ceiling fan exploring natural phenomena and the perception of the space around us. By manipulating elements such as light, speed and sound, this simple object (although essential during the Summer in Rio) assumes new shapes and readings.

Through the editing process Mandala I becomes a psychedelic and hypnotic digital video transporting the viewer into a transcendental interpretation of a mundane object.
